About St. Stephen’s School

Located in Cayuga, St. Stephen’s Catholic Elementary School has a rich history, founded by Reverend L. Douglas Brown. The school was built on church property and later sold or possibly gifted to the school board. Our school began as a single hallway but expanded with a second hallway, gymnasium, and a second floor, officially opened on November 27, 1983, under the guidance of Director of Education A.J. Homeniuk.

We proudly identify as the St. Stephen’s Crusaders, a name that has remained unchanged since our founding. At St. Stephen’s, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where every student can succeed. We focus on fostering a love of learning, encouraging personal growth, and building strong community connections. Welcome to the Crusaders family!
